Longtime Canton Resident, Lawrence Michael Walsh Jr., Dies at 84
A 1946 graduate of Canton High School and leaves a legacy of service to the town of Canton.

Lawrence Michael Walsh, Jr.passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the age of 84.
Walsh was born on Dec. 13, 1928 in Norwood, and was the beloved son of the late Anna E. (Pierce-McGann) and Lawrence M. Walsh Sr. He was a dear brother to John Walsh and his wife Carol of Connecticut, William Walsh and his wife Margaret of Canton & the late Anne Barrett formerly of Marion. He was also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, and 22 great nieces and great nephews.
Larry was a 1946 graduate of Canton High School, received his undergraduate degree from Fitchburg State College, and his Master’s degree from Boston University. He was a beloved educator and administrator who touched countless lives during his decades of teaching youth in Canton. Larry leaves a legacy of service to the town of Canton.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, Feb. 15, from 4-8 p.m. at Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, in Canton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Canton. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery in Canton.
