Make a Sweet Escape to Crescent Ridge Dairy Bar

It is no secret that serves up some of the best premium handcrafted ice cream around. But, did you know that National Geographic named Crescent Ridge ice cream as one of the “10 Best Ice Creams in the World?”

That is quite an honorable title for ice cream so close to home.

If you are new to the area or have never been to , it is well worth the visit. A family owned and run dairy farm since 1932, Crescent Ridge produces their own small batches of ice cream and frozen yogurt in more than 40 flavors.

Depending on my mood, I am usually stuck deciding between a cone of Black Bear (black raspberry ice cream with raspberry filled chocolate truffles and fudge chips,) coconut, pistachio, peanut butter cup or mint Oreo. There are sure to be many other flavors that pique your taste buds including frozen yogurt, sherbet and sugar-free ice cream, as well. 

Personally, I prefer the experience of going to the Dairy Bar and waiting on line as opposed to grabbing a half-gallon inside to go. Though there may be a wait for your cone, frappe or sundae, you can sample flavors and eat your ice cream while watching the cows graze in the field surrounding the dairy bar, which always gives me a nostalgic feeling.  

In addition to making ice cream, Crescent Ridge also makes home deliveries of their fresh milk in glass bottles and other dairy products.
