Man Charged With Trafficking 100 Grams Of Heroin In Canton
State Police said they found a bag filled with $35,000 in cash, and 100 grams of heroin in brick form.

CANTON, MA — A Boston man was arrested Thursday after state troopers seized 100 grams of heroin and $35,000 in cash at a traffic stop on Interstate 93, police said. Bolivar Torres, 36, of Jamaica Plain, was charged with trafficking heroin, forging a Registry of Motor Vehicles document, speeding, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Just before midnight, State Police patrolling I-93 north pulled over a black Lexus with a temporary license plate out of Rhode Island. State Police said they initially pulled over the car, driven by Torres, for speeding, but investigated further after discovering Torres's temporary license plate wasn't real.
Torres was placed under arrested, and state police called a tow truck. Prior to the car being towed, police said they found a black plastic bag filled with $35,000 in cash. A police dog was requested to search the car, leading to state troopers seizing 100 grams of heroin, State Police said.

Torres was arraigned in Stoughton District Court Friday with bail set at $200,000.
