Meeting To Be Held On Future Of Canton Junction Ramp
MassDOT's lawyers and the Department of Public Safety will meet Thursday to discuss the necessity of state building permits.

CANTON, MA – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation's legal team and the Department of Public Safety will meet Thursday to discuss whether state building permits are necessary for the Canton Junction Ramp and Sidewalk Project.
A stop work order was put in place this month after a state building inspector found that Keolis, which operates the Commuter Rail, allegedly failed to obtain the required building permits from the state to repair the structure.
In a letter to Gov. Charlie Baker informing him of the stop work order, Town Administrator Charles Aspinwall wrote that the inspector found several code issues pertaining to Massachusetts State Building Code and the Architectural Access Board, including trip hazards, openings exceeding four inches and the buildup of water.
