Memory care expert examines decision making, life care programming at SPL, Tuesday, January 19
EPOCH Memory Care Director Alicia Seaver looks at choosing the next level of care for a loved one with memory loss in this free program.

Memory Supported Assisted Living & Life-Care Programming & Decisions for the General Public
(SHARON, MA) – Deciding when to move a loved one to the next level of care is one the hardest choices faced by people caring for a loved one with memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease and other form of dementia. On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at 7:00 pm, Bridges® by EPOCH Director of Memory Care Alicia Seaver will present an interactive 90-minute look at Memory Supported Assisted Living and Life-Care Programming and Decisions at the Sharon Public Library. The presentation, part of the continuing Our Partners in Health Series, (OPH), will be held in the Cynthia B. Fox Community Room. The program is free and open to the public.

An award-winning educator and advocate for senior care, Seaver will examine the signs, stages, behaviors and needs of people with memory loss and discuss what families should consider when determining whether memory-care assisted living is the right choice for their loved one. She will also explain the benefits of a resident-centered culture and personalized approach to services, and ways in which they contribute to greater participation, engagement and fulfillment among the residents.

A certified Positive Approach to Care™ trainer, Seaver has nearly 20 years of experience in the senior living industry and is nationally certified as a Memory Impairment Specialist by the National Institute on Aging and as a state certified Alzheimer’s and Related Dementia trainer in both Massachusetts and Florida. Passionate about educating the community about caring for people with memory loss, Seaver serves as an expert resource for all Bridges® by EPOCH communities and is committed to making a difference in the lives of seniors and their families.
