Bill Hickey, a DCR spokesman said the park will be completed by the end of November. He also said a gathering deck, three flag poles and a signage kiosk will be added to the completed park in June 2014.

The new park will be named 1st Lt. Arthur E. Farnham, Jr., and SSgt. Thomas M. Connolly, Jr. Memorial Park, in honor of two World War II heroes and friends who met while working as mechanics during the heyday of the Canton Airport in the 1930s.
