Police Say Fires at Kennedy Elementary School Were Intentional
Police say the fires were in a dumpster and at the playground.
From the Canton Police Department:
Sunday morning around 8 a.m., police and fire units were dispatched to the Kennedy Elementary School on Dedham Street in regards to a small fire in the playground area. Upon arrival with the Canton Fire Department, our personnel discovered two fires that appear to have been intentionally set.
The fires were small and were contained to a dumpster and a mulched area of the playground. The incident is currently under investigation by the Canton Police and Fire Departments. Officers will be making extra checks of the Kennedy and all other Canton Public Schools. The incident was quickly contained and there is no danger to students.
