Project R.I.S.E. Canton Community Problem Solvers take part in Syrian Refugee Benefit Concert

Canton community problem solving team Project RISE took part in a Syrian refugee benefit concert in the Old South Church in Boston

On November 13, Canton community problem solving team Project RISE took part in a Syrian refugee benefit concert in the Old South Church in Boston, MA. The melodious music was graciously provided by Klezperanto and Layaali Arabic Music Ensemble. Layaali is a Massachusetts based group of talented musicians whose love and dedication to Arabic music have earned them wide acclaim from both ethnomusicologists and audiences at sold out performances throughout the U.S. and internationally. Klezperanto along with an all star line up of Boston’s best musicians continues to deliver irresistible dance music including Mediterranean melodies, Romanian surf tunes and more.

Project RISE is proud to be a part of this charity concert in which more than 200 people attended. This charity concert raised more than $80,000 in a span of 2 to 3 hours to help the refugees. All in all, the joyous music moved us all and relieved our minds of the challenging and difficult time in our lives by listening to the common language among us: music.
