Project SNOW Helps Senior Citizens At Dinner Event
Project SNOW (Safeguarding Neighborhoods Over Winter) Helps Senior Citizens At Dinner Event at Canton Senior Center, Canton, Massachusetts

Canton, MASS - On November 8, Project SNOW (Safeguarding Neighborhoods Over Winter) visited Senior Center in Canton to assist the staff and the senior citizens at the “Magic and Dinner” event organized by the Canton Council on Aging. Diane Tynan, director of Canton Council on Aging and Robin Tobin, Outreach Worker of Canton Council on Aging invited the Project SNOW to the event to learn about the senior citizen activities first hand, interact with them and understand their issues during the winter season.
Team members participated in the magic show and helped serve dinner. “The magic show was cool, but helping those seniors was even better,” says Pranav Addanki, a 5th grader at the J.F.K.
Magic was performed by Jack Ryan, a professional magician and past president of the Society of American magicians which was founded by Harry Houdini. His show was classy and tasteful, a great combination of sophisticated magic, ESP, humor and audience participation. Then the seniors enjoyed a delicious dinner of Roasted Apple Brandy Chicken, Tossed Salad, Mashed Potato, Roasted Vegetable Medley, Dessert and Coffee, provided by Peppercorn’s.
