Surviving Stress

Coping, Healing, and Dealing

Sometimes life can be difficult. Having to deal with a family member’s sudden illness. Trying to fulfill the financial needs of your household. The recent unraveling or loss of a relationship. The stress of holiday shopping, cooking, or even having to deal with family. All of those things can cause you to feel anxious, irritated, depressed, and a wide array of other emotions. Sometimes it is helpful to know that you are not alone in those thoughts or feelings. All of us have experienced those issues in life; some to a greater or lesser degree. But nonetheless, we have all struggled. The most important thing is to not go through it alone. Because in doing so, that could possibly multiply your stress, or maybe even worsen the issue. Seek out a neutral perspective or source of support. Whether that be from a loved one, a friend, or a counselor. You are worth the effort!
