Three In Custody after Road Rage Shooting in Canton
UPDATED: Police said the three suspects were charged with armed assault with intent to murder and weapons charges.

Three people are in custody after they allegedly shot at a car on Route 138 in Canton early Sunday morning.
Yancey Williams, 27, of Boston; Arthur Williams, 37, of Randolph; and Louis Whitehead, 35, of Boston, have been charged with felony armed assault with intent to murder and weapons violation charges after they allegedly pulled alongside the victim’s car and fired several shots at around 4:30 a.m, Canton police said.
The driver was uninjured.

Police said they got a 911 call from the victim who reported getting off Interstate 95 onto Route 138 when the suspects pulled alongside his car and opened fire.
Mansfield police stopped the car on Route 106 a short time after Canton police notified area departments.

According to police, “the victim’s car was struck at least five times.” Detectives from both the Canton and Mansfield Police departments are in the process of interviewing both the suspects and the victims, according to a statement. Canton and Quincy K9 officers are conducting searches for the weapon used and other additional forensic evidence, according to Canton Police. The Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Unit is also providing valuable support processing the vehicles involved.
The incident remains under investigation and Canton police said they would provide the media with more information at a noon press conference.
There were road closures and traffic diversions for a time early Sunday morning along Washington Street as detectives investigated the scene.
