Why We Dance Benefit to Support the Jimmy Fund

Several local dance studios are collaborating to raise money for the Jimmy Fund.

Dancers from Dance Out in Canton, Hazel Boone Dance Studio in Canton, the Edge Studio of Dance in Canton and the Braintree Academy of Dance are joining forces to perform in Why We Dance - a dance benefit to raise money for The Jimmy Fund.. The Wolff Sisters of Canton will also be performing.

This is not the first time the studios have collaborated. Last year was the inaugural show, with proceeds benefitting the Furbush Family of Canton. This year, the proceeds will go to The Jimmy Fund, in honor of former Hazel Boone instructor Allison Cahill Burke, who is fighting inoperable brain cancer. Burke was named a Walk Hero for last years Jimmy Fund Walk and hopes to attend the Why We Dance Benefit.

Tickets are $20.00 and may be purchased online at www.tututix.com/DanceOutCanton or at the door. Why We Dance is on Friday November 14th at the Norwood Theater. The performance starts at 7:30 pm and doors open at 6:45. The Norwood Theater is located at 109 Central Street, Norwood, MA.
