Young Entreprenuers Ready for Work in Canton
These Canton seventh graders are starting their own landscaping company.
"You supply the mess, we supply the muscle." That is the official motto for J.M.S. Yard Services, a newly launched Canton company run by seventh graders. Yes, seventh graders.
These four students from the in Canton are eager to get their hands dirty. Justin Slocum, Michael Harris, Teddy Papoulis and Sean Meenan kicked off their new business venture this month and are looking for clients. The 12 and 13-year-olds will do light yard work, leaf blowing, trimming and cleanup after-school and on weekends.
"I need extra money," Slocum said of one of the reasons he wanted to start the business.

"I need something to do besides just playing video games," Papoulis added.
Slocum's mom Charlene supports the kids' new venture. "I think it's good and something to keep them busy," she said.

All of the boys have experience doing yard work for their parents. Papoulis has experience working on a farm, too.
Currently, the boys have two clients and are hoping to expand. "They are hoping to gain a good clientele," Charlene added.
