2 Men to be Arraigned After Woman Loses Arm in Boating Accident
Benjamin Urbellis and Alexander Williams face multiple charges, including negligent operation of a boat and furnishing alcohol to minors.

Two Boston men will face arraignment Friday for their alleged involvement in a boating accident which severed a 19-year-old woman’s arm in the waters off Spectacle Island back in May.
Benjamin Urbelis, 33, of Charlestown, is facing charges of negligent operation of a boat, operating a boat under the influence of alcohol, and furnishing alcohol to minors.
Alexander Williams, 26, of the West End, was also onboard the boat at the time of the accident. He’s charged with negligent operation of a boat, furnishing alcohol to minors, and tampering with evidence.

Multiple underage woman were allegedly onboard the boat “Naught Guilty” when the accident occurred on the evening of May 30.
Investigators say the woman was swimming in the water nearby the boat when the engine was suddenly started. The boat’s spinning propeller sliced off her arm.

According to documents filed in court, Williams allegedly deleted information from his phone regarding the accident after a search warrant was issued.
The two men are expected to be arraigned Friday morning in Suffolk Superior Court.
