A busy weekend at the Parish!

January 25 (St. Mary's Church at 55 Warren) 2nd Graders—First Penance at 12 p.m. (Reception to follow) Parents with questions can email our Religious Education director at RelEd@stmarystcatherine.org.

Also that Saturday after the 4PM Mass:

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has declared January 22, the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, a National Day of Prayer and Penance, and has called for a Holy Hour for Life to be held in each parish during the week of January 19-25. Our Parish will hold a Holy Hour for Life on Saturday, January 25, after the 4PM Mass in Saint Mary’s Church.

Led by Fr. Ronan, we will pray together for those who have been wounded by abortion, for respect for the dignity of human life from conception to natural death, and for those who govern us that they may be guided by justice, truth, and a love for the gift of life.

We invite all parishioners to observe the National Day of Prayer and Penance on January 22, and to attend the Holy Hour after the 4PM Mass on January 25 to pray for these intentions before the Blessed Sacrament.

January 26 (St. Mary's Church at 55 Warren): Adults in their 20’s and 30’s are invited to a conversation with Father Ronan about stress disconnectedness and grounding yourself in the love of God. It is a great opportunity to get to know each other and learn from one another! Please join us for pizza and beverages at 7PM. We will meet after the 6PM Mass in the back of the Church. See you there!

And also starting January 27:

On Mondays at 7PM in the Parish Center we are planning to gather for one hour for meditation and also to view a video series entitled, Following the Mystics Through the Narrow Gate. The series presenters include Richard Rohr, OFM, James Finley and Rev. Cynthia Bourgeault.

A description from the video cover reads, “This view into our mystical heritage opens our hearts to the Divine Mystery in which we live and are surrounded. The mystical union to which we are all invited strengthens us to live our lives with compassion and gratitude.”

All are welcome to the program!
