Alzheimer's Association Launches New Power and Purpose Program

The campaign launched in the Greater Boston area on Nov. 24.

The Alzheimer’s Association, Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter has officially launched a new program aimed at individuals with mild Alzheimer’s or memory loss problems.

The Power and Purpose campaign with its tagline “Live. Life. Today.” launched Nov. 24 in the Greater Boston region and is taking a new approach in the support and education for those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.

The Power and Purpose program was created from the results of research that showed staying active and engaged may help to slow the progression of certain memory-loss diseases. The program will focus on education, consultation, engagement and advocacy. There is also a four-session workshop focused on education and peer support called MindSet.
