Are You Feeling The Pinch? Income Inequality Increases
A new report says the Boston area has more of its wealth in fewer hands than 85% of the nation's cities.

The Metropolitan Area Planning Council, who describe themselves as a "regional planning agency serving the people who live and work in Metropolitan Boston," have submitted a report that covers everything from 10th Grade Math MCAS scores to the foreclosure crisis.
WBUR quoted the report's overall conclusion, saying, "Over the past 30 years, wealth in the region has become increasingly concentrated, creating a smaller group of wealthy families than ever before, while more Greater Bostonians than ever struggle to make ends meet."
Project Bread also has data; in the nonprofit reported that "700,000 people in the Commonwealth are struggling to make ends meet," and that this number is "the highest rate recorded in Massachusetts since this data was first collected by the U.S. Census Bureau in 1995."
