Boston 2024 Releases Original Olympic Bid Documents
Documents reveal the group's originally proposed budget and details about support for various proposals.

The Boston-based group pushing to land the 2024 Summer Olympics released its original, unredacted version of the bid on Friday. The particular version helped the city garner the attention of the U.S. Olympic Committee and earn a nomination over three other major cities in the running.
In the original bid, documents highlight two previously undisclosed areas that detail Boston 2024’s original proposed budget. It also included details about public and political support for the proposals, according to an AP report.
In regards to the proposed budget, the original bid indicated a total cost of $4.7 billion and $500 million deficit. In June, a revised proposal was released showing a $4.6 billion budget and a surplus of $200 million.

In January, Boston 2024 released only a portion of the bid after out-dueling Los Angeles, San Francisco and Washington D.C. for a chance to host the games. At the time, Boston 2024 shied away from releasing the entire bid, saying the USOC didn’t want certain information publicized.
Boston 2024 has until September of 2015 to win over those who are against the games coming to the city.
