Boston Accuses Wynn of Lying About Permits to Fix Sullivan Square Traffic
City of Boston is suing Wynn Resorts.

Boston Transportation Department Commissioner Gina Fiandaca has accused Wynn Resorts of lying to the Massachusetts gaming panel about submitting a required permit application to fix the flow of traffic in Charlestown’s Sullivan Square, the Boston Herald reports.
In a letter to Wynn Everett President Robert DiSalvio Monday, Fiandaca challenged DiSalvio’s type of a filing the casino developer submitted to Boston’s Public Improvement Commission.
Fiandaca’s letter, which was obtained by the Boston Herald, points out DiSalvio’s filings are mainly engineering reports. Such reports do not qualify as a valid permit application as required by Wynn’s license.

“The engineering report and coordination plans omit virtually all the required components of a valid permit application. Despite Wynn’s characterization, the documents it submitted do not constitute an application. Wynn’s submission is, at best, merely an update on its continually evolving proposals for the area,” Fiandaca wrote in the letter.
The city of Boston previously argued with Wynn over the impact the casino would have on Charlestown. Boston is suing to overturn Wynn’s license.
