Thousands Descend Upon Boston for Comic Con

Thousands of comics, movie, and science fiction fans will descend upon the city of Boston this weekend to take part in Comic Con.

The event will take place at the Seaport World Trade Center from July 31 through August 2. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.

Comic and costume fans are expected to travel from far and wide to attend the hugely popular convention. Several famous Marvel Comics creators will be in attendance.

Stan Lee, the creator of such characters as The Hulk, X-Men and Spider-Man, will be at the event and will sign autographs for fans. Bille Piper from the show “Doctor Who,” and “30 Rock” comedian Judah Friedlander will also be in attendance.

A costume contest will be held for fans with a grand prize totaling $1,000. Comic editors will also provide tips to those looking to break into the industry. The movie “Attack of the 50 Foot Woman” will also be screened at the convention.

With temperatures expected to exceed 90 degrees in Boston this weekend, fans are urged to carefully choose their costumes and to hydrate regularly.
