Boston New Year's 'Die-In' Likely

Activists are planning a Wednesday evening protest.

The city of Boston could see a protest on New Year’s Eve, which is Wednesday, Dec. 31.

WHDH reported that a group of activists have announced plans to hold a “die-in” in Copley Square on Wednesday evening around 5 p.m.

Thousands will allegedly be in the area for the First Night Boston activities, according to the Boston Globe.

A “die-in” involves activists lying down in the street in response to recent decisions by grand juries in Ferguson, Mo., and New York not to charge white officers in the deaths of two unarmed black men.
