ATTN BRAINIACS: $6,000 in Health Care Scholarships Available For Charlestown Residents

Is there a scholar in the house? For the 9th year in a row, Spaulding is pleased to announce that two Partners HealthCare Merit Scholarships -  totaling $6,000 -  are available to residents who are enrolled in academic programs leading to careers in nursing, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, x-ray technology, or other health sciences professions.

Applicants must

• have completed at least two semesters of school
• show proof of Charlestown residency
• write an essay describing how prior community service has helped them develop leadership skills

Two scholarships will be awarded: $3,500 to a student in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program; and  $2,500 to a student in an Associate’s program.

The 2012 Partners HealthCare Merit Scholarships are offered through a special collaboration involving the MGH Institute of Health Professions, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, and the MGH Charlestown HealthCare Center.
