Friday's Tip: Create a list of goals and remind yourself of them often. 


Sometimes writing what you want down can make the difference between trying to achieve a goal and actually achieving it. When I work with clients we always write down their goals together and refer back to them often. I put my goals for the new year on my desk where I can see them everyday. You can also set a phone reminder, write a goal down on a piece of paper and leave it in a jacket or pocketbook to find at a later time, etc. 

Remind yourself often what you're working towards. It doesn't necessarily have to be weight loss either. It could to eat more vegetables, take a walk, or do something that will help you feel more confident. Get creative and help yourself stay on track. The mind is really funny. Sometimes I feel like we have to trick ourselves into creating good habits. Once it becomes a habit it becomes much easier but remember it takes time. It's important to set yourself up for success.

So remind yourself on what you are working towards often and in random ways. Maybe if you're reaching into your pocket for money to get something unhealthy and you see your goal note, you will make a better decision.
