Charlestown Resident Wins Citi Center Contest

A Charlestown resident came up with the winning name of a music show that will be playing at Boston’s Citi Performing Arts Center in November.

Kathy Wickerham’s submission in the “You Name The Show” contest was chosen out of 400 submissions.

Wickerham’s winning title, “Dishing With The Divas: A Musical Comedy,” will be officially unveiled to the public on the marquee of Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre, 270 Tremont St., at 2 p.m. on Friday.

The musical show is about a hit talk show called “GIRL TALK” on WPMS radio. In the play, the radio hosts dish about topics including motherhood, friendships, food and men while singing, dancing, and cracking jokes.

Over 500 votes helped pick the winning title in a public online poll that ended Tuesday, Sept. 30.

“Dishing With The Divas: A Musical Comedy” will premiere at Citi Performing Arts Center Shubert Theatre on the night of Friday, Nov. 7.
