Charlestown Against Drugs to Host 'Family Night in the Park'

Charlestown Against Drugs (CHaD) plans to hold a special night of family enjoyment at Doherty Playground in Charlestown next week.

The “Family Night in the Park” event will run from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at the park, and will feature live entertainment, a moon bounce, face painters, a balloon hat makers, a DJ, hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and ice cream, according to CHaD.

The local group comprises Charlestown residents who work with you to serve local organizations, the Boston Police Department and others to prevent and reduce substance abuse by educating the community about the dangers of abuse and health-risk behaviors, according to its website.
