This week's Charlestown Live program will feature host Danny Ryan interviewing Rev. Daniel Mahoney, Chaplain of the Boston Fire Department and pastor of St. Francis de Sales Parish, and retired BFD firefighter Bill Boyle.
The topic of Danny's show will be the 40th anniversary of the Hotel Vendome fire on June 17, 1972. Father Mahoney and Billy will share their personal memoriesof that fateful day when the Boston Fire Department lost a total of 9 men and saw another 8 firefighters seriously injured. The largest loss of life at a single fire inthe history of the department.
