Charlestown Native to Run Michelob Ultra Boston 13.1 Marathon In Efforts To Raise Money for Muscular Dystrophy
Charlestown native Kate Tighe is participating in the Michelob ULTRA Boston 13.1 Marathon on September 14.

Charlestown native Kate Tighe is participating in the Michelob ULTRA Boston 13.1 Marathon on September 14. Kate joined MDA Team Momentum 6 years ago and will be running her first half marathon to honor three special boys she met at MDA Clinic and loves to see at MDA Summer Camp.
The MDA Team Momentum, a group who helps bring awareness to this crippling disease by hosting events and galas throughout the year. The Michelob ULTRA Boston 13.1 Marathon is one of the more tougher physical tasks.
“I am running for Keelan, Caeden and Devin because they remind me how joyful childhood is and how simple it should be to enjoy the pleasures of being a kid,” said Tighe. “These boys remind me that some things in this world are completely out of our control, but every person has the chance to step forward and do something good to help someone else.”
