Charlestown Resident Appointed Pharmacy Manager

Joseph Skellie, of Charlestown, joined America's Compounding Center in 2013.

America’s Compounding Center, a family-owned pharmacy specializing in custom-made prescriptions, announced the appointment of Joseph Skellie, a Charlestown resident, as Pharmacy Manager on Thursday.

A recent press release indicated that Skellie joined America’s Compounding Center in January 2013. He previously worked for CVS Pharmacy for more than five years. In his new role as Pharmacy Manager, he will oversee a team of about 15 pharmacists and technicians, ensuring that regulatory compliance, quality assurance and patient satisfaction is met at the highest level on a daily basis.

“Joe is a tremendously skilled pharmacist and has strong management skills that will serve our pharmacy well,” said Arthur Margolis, R.Ph., pharmacist and owner of America’s Compounding Center. “We are very excited to elevate him to the role of Pharmacy Manager.”

A Oneonta, N.Y., native, Skellie currently lives in Charlestown. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University.

“I am thrilled to take on a management role and to be working closely with Arthur, who was one of my co-op preceptors while I was in studying pharmacy in college,” Skellie said.
