Charlestown Weather Alert: Afternoon Storms Could Bring Hail, Damaging Winds
Showers and thunderstorms are forecasted to be peak between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Severe thunderstorms could bring hail and damaging winds to the Charlestown area Friday afternoon, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.
Strong storms are expected to hit much of Eastern Massachusetts, including Boston. Numerous showers and thunderstorms are forecasted to be peak between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. The storms will not weaken until after sunset.
Officials warn strong winds and small hail could cause for widespread damage. The storms are also expected to produce a rapid, but temporary drop in temperature.

Temperatures will reach a high of 83 on Friday and dip down into the 60s overnight.
