Charlestown's Weather Forecast: Week of Intense Heat and Humidity

After a weekend which featured cooler temperatures, neighborhoods across Boston will have to deal with a potential heatwave. A week filled with sizzling temperatures and oppressive humidity awaits, according to the latest Weather.com forecast.

Scattered thunderstorms will threaten the area throughout the day on Monday. Temperatures will reach the low 80s with a 60 percent chance of rain. Temperatures will dip into the 60s overnight.

A stretch of scorching temperatures will begin on Tuesday and last through Sunday. Temperatures are forecasted to reach the upper 80s on Tuesday and Wednesday. For the reminder of the week, temperatures are expected to hit 90 and above.

Expect oppressively muggy conditions all week.

The weekend is shaping up to be a beauty for those who like to travel to the beach and soak up the sun’s rays. Saturday and Sunday are expected to be totally sunny with temperatures in the 90s.
