Coakley: Life Focus Center Still Under Review

The Attorney General could not offer a timeline on the review's completion.

The fate of Jack Millerick, the executive directory of the Life Focus Center, remains under review by the attorney general’s office, Martha Coakley said recently.

Charlestown Patch caught up with Coakley on Friday . At that time she said she couldn’t comment specifically on the Life Focus Center story because “we have an open review of that matter at this time.”

Coakley said that her agency is looking at the Life Focus Center “very closely,” as it continues to address allegations about the misuse of funds at nonprofits, improper due diligence of nonprofit boards and excessive compensation for agency executives.

Coakley couldn’t say when the review would be finished, but said that it will determine what criminal or civil violations (if any) occurred at the Life Focus Center.

For the center’s clients and their families, life should continue without much change despite the audit that led to the termination of the center’s state contracts. Charlestown Patch reported earlier in May that at the center’s current location and plans to use many of the same workers who work with the center’s clients now.
