Doggy Weight Watchers: Is Your Pet Overweight?

The worst part of a doctor visit is often the moment he asks to see your weight. Monitoring weight gain and loss is particularly stressful for people, but this time it’s not you hopping on the scale. This weigh-in is for your furry friends only.

Unleashed by Petco started the Pounds for Pounds Weigh-In Challenge so pet parents can learn how to monitor their pet’s weight. Both underweight and overweight pets are at risk for health complications.

If you’re not sure what an underweight or overweight pet looks like, Unleashed Petco provides a handy chart online.

The pet supply chain hopes to weigh 5,000 pounds of pets at each of its stores and will donate $500 to a local animal shelter. The Charlestown Unleashed by Petco is located on 5 Austin St.
