Police: Woman Smuggled Cocaine in Wheelchair at Logan Airport
Authorities say woman attempted to move four bricks of cocaine through Boston's Logan Airport.

A woman was indicted Thursday for allegedly attempting to smuggle cocaine in her wheelchair at at Boston’s Logan International Airport.
Ireline Aponte Melende, a Dominican Republic native, was indicted in U.S. District Court in Boston Thursday on charges of unlawful importation of cocaine.
Melende was busted at Logan Airport back in May after a flight from the Dominican Republic, officials say. Law enforcement officials X-rayed Melende’s motorized wheelchair and discovered four bricks of a white powdery substance hidden in batteries, officials say.

If Melende is convicted, she could face up 20 years in prison and fine of up to $1 million.
