Dying 6-Year-Old Just Wants Cards for Her Last Christmas

Doctors have been unable to pinpoint exactly what is wrong with the brave little girl.

While most children are adding new items to their wish-lists every week, this 6-year-old only has one: Christmas cards.

While doctors have not pronounced an exact diagnosis, Addie Fausett is suffering from diffuse atrophy. Doctors told the family that Addie will be gone mentally before physically because her brain is shrinking and filling with fluid.

As a result, this will likely be Addie’s last Christmas.

As her condition continues, it’s only a matter of time before she forgets her family and life as she knows it in Fountain Green, Utah.

Since it’s difficult for Addie to even hold a crayon to color, much less play with other children, the Christmas cards serve as a way to connect to people. She has already received an uncountable amount of letters from strangers.

Not only is Addie fighting a battle of her own, but her father passed away Nov. 28. His death was unexpected, according to the Little Addie Facebook page ran by her grandmother.

To help fill Addie’s last Christmas wish, send a card to:
