“e” inc. to Host “Shakin’ For Science” Benefit for the New Children’s Environment Museum

"e" inc. to Host "Shakin' For Science" Benefit on November 9, 2016

“e” inc., the award-winning environment science learning and action center, will host “Shakin’ For Science,” a benefit to support the new Environment Science Discovery & Action Museum set to open in Charlestown, MA on January 16, 2017. The fundraiser will take place on November 9, 2016 from 6:00-10:00 p.m. at the offices of “e” inc. (114 16th Street, Charlestown Navy Yard). Austin Blackmon, Chief of Environment, Energy and Open Space (EEOS) for the City of Boston, will be the featured speaker.

Guests will get a sneak peek of the museum’s inaugural exhibit, "Weather and Climate: Understanding Our Changing World,” which will focus on educating children, ages 8–12, about the mysteries and challenges of climate change. Created by “e” inc.’s partner institution, The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Chicago (a part of the Chicago Academy of Sciences), this state-of-the-art exhibit uses interactive and informative displays to illustrate the effects of global warming on a local and across-the-country scale. Guests will also enjoy hors d'oeuvres, refreshments, an auction and entertainment provided by Karson from Mix 104.1 at the benefit.

The goal of “e” inc.’s Environment Science Discovery & Action Museum is to create unique planet science teaching experiences designed to capture the excitement and minds of children, teens, teachers, and caregivers regarding the beings, biomes, resources, and systems of our planet.
