Author Talk and Reception with Vietnam Veteran and Writer Tim O'Brien

Known for his compelling portrayals of the Vietnam War and its impact on the American servicemen and women engaged in that conflict, Tim O'Brien is the author of eight books. The New York Times listed one of his most popular works, The Things They Carried, among the 20 best books of the last 25 years. O'Brien has been honored by the American Academy of Arts and Letters for his distinguished body of work. His short fiction has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly and Esquire as well as in several editions of the O. Henry Prize Stories and The Best American Short Stories.
