As we approach spring, BPD is encouraging neighborhoods to reignite
Neighborhood Watches and reconnect with neighbors:
1, Wednesday, April 6th at 7:30 BPD Neighborhood Watch Director,
Carolyn MacNeil, is kindly hosting a Charlestown Neighborhood Watch
Meeting on at the Charlestown Police Station. Everyone is encouraged
to attend and spread the word. There will be representatives from BPD
to discuss crime patterns and prevention. If you would like to contact
Carolyn directly her email is MacNeilC....@cityofboston.gov. She is
updating her street captains lists.
2. April 29th and 30th, street captains are encouraged to organize
donuts and coffee (or an evening cookout and clean-up) with neighbors
for Boston Shines. Ideally each street watch, park group, business
and community organization will find a way to get involved in the
clean-up. It has been a messy winter. For more information, feel free
to email jack.ke...@cityofboston.gov

At all these meetings, there will be reminders to update our phone/
email chains, call 911 (or 617-343-4911 from cell phone), and use
Google Groups to keep everyone informed. Flyers and information to
share with neighbors will be available.
