Five: Next 40 Warren Date Scheduled

And underwear at South Station.

Today is Monday, Dec. 19. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Warmer than yesterday. Temperatures are slated to start cold and climb into the low 40s shortly after noon. It’s not exactly going to be tropical, but I, personally, won’t feel as compelled to sit next to my space heater all day.

2. More on 40 Warren. This is also on our calendar, but here’s what you need to know about the next meeting on the : The CNC Development Committee will be hosting a meeting for review of the proposed redevelopment plans for 40 Warren Street. The meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m., Jan. 5 at the Knights of Columbus Upper Hall, will include discussion of the zoning and architectural design expectations for the project. It is anticipated that the project will be requesting final approval from the Zoning Board of Appeal on January 24th.

3. Meet Rep. O’Flaherty. Rep. O’Flaherty is to be at the Charlestown branch of the Boston Public Library today at noon.

4. A quick thanks. Neighborhood Council member Mark Rosenshein noticed this week that we have been using a photo of the Knights of Columbus building to accompany Council meetings that didn’t have another photo to go with him. Well, he sent us a copy of the seal the council uses on its letterhead, and we’ll be using that going forward.

5. A little out of the town… but who needs underwear from a vending machine? The Boston Herald reports that a new vending machine at South Station distributes a number of garments, including underwear.
