Five Things: A Happy Dog Tale

And more upcoming community health meetings.

Today is Tuesday, Jan. 24. Here are five things you need to know:

1. Say goodbye to any remaining snow. If you see any patches of snow this morning, they are unlikely to survive the day. Weather.com predicts that temperatures will hit 47 degrees today under sunny skies. Dry and breezy.

2. Upcoming health survey meetings. On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, the Charlestown Neighborhood Council will host the third in a series of precinct meetings for the Partners/Spaulding Community Health Needs Assessment. This meeting is specifically planned for residents of Precincts 1 & 6 and will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall, West School St beginning at 7:00 pm.  The first will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 31 for Precincts 2 and 3 at the Constitution Inn, the second, for Precincts 2 and 3 will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9 at the Harvard Kent School.

3. A happy story. A reader posted a comment on an yesterday in which we had posted that another reader had found a dog letting us all know that it was her dog.

4. I’m not sure why these sit so long, but Wicked Local Carver posted the announcement this week of the marriage between Kristin Stemple and Daniel Brown, who tied the knot on Aug. 27, 2011 at the Commandant’s House in Charlestown

5. Hey business owners! I’m not sure how aware you are of this, but we probably have a listing for you in our directory. What’s more, you can claim your listing to give you control over certain updates. I’d suggest doing so—today, if you like.
