The Friends of John Harvard Mall Initiative Needs Your help
Group needs $56,000 for LED lighting, irrigation, and a history monument.

The John Harvard Mall and park are about to undergo a major renovation. This is well overdue, as the park has not been updated since the 1970s. Over the last two years, the Friends group has been working with the city, resulting in a project budget increase from $450,000 to over $1,500,000, enabling a full-scale renovation of the upper and lower areas. The Friends group was required to raise $56,000 for the following items:
LED Lighting - $24,000. – These lights are being added to high light the historical plaques.
Irrigation - $12,000. - We need to water our new grass!

History - $20,000. - The monument and plaques will be restored to honor the history of the park.
Thanks to the support of our community the Friends group is closing in on this $56,000 target! Even if we surpass our immediate target, we need more funding for annual maintenance of the irrigation system as well as maintenance and improvements beyond what the city offers. Our goal is to ensure that the beautification of the park is sustainable well beyond the renovation phase.
