The Boston Public Works Department removed nearly 1,500 truckloads from across the city.

The Boston Public Works Department (PWD) overnight removed nearly 1,500 truck loads of snow from across Boston’s neighborhoods.

A recent press release indicated that since the storm started, the City has removed over 10,000 truckloads of snow. Boston has recorded about 6 feet of snow in the last 30 days, breaking the previous record of 58.5 inches, set in 1978.

From the start of this snow season to today, Boston PWD has plowed 237,112 miles of roadway, put down nearly 71,000 tons of salt, and plowed for 135,140 hours.
