Gaming Commission to Hold Public Input Meeting on Proposed Casino Wednesday

The meeting will begin at 4 p.m. at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center.

Editor's Note: The following article has been updated to clarify that the Massachusetts Gaming Commission's meeting is on Wednesday, March 26, and not Tuesday, March 25 as originally reported.

Residents from the Charlestown area will have a chance to take part in a public input meeting on Wednesday regarding the proposed Wynn Casino in Everett. 

The proposed casino resort in Everett would be located across the bridge from Charlestown's Sullivan Square; by which about 60 percent of the casino’s estimated traffic would travel.

The Charlestown Neighborhood Council plans to submit a letter to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission opposing the proposal, according to the Charlestown Patriot-Bridge, which also reported that the Charlestown Preservation Society is urging residents to attend the hearing Wednesday or, as an alternative, submit a letter opposing the project.  

The Gaming Commission will hold the open meeting in Room 104 at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center at 415 Summer St. starting at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 26. Below is the current agenda for the meeting.
