You Asked: 'Go Fish' Truck To Return

We've got the word from chef and proprietor David Stein, who has ideas for a "Saturday Brunch cluster," as well.

Patch reader asked us to look into future of the Go Fish food truck in Charlestown, and when we wrote Go Fish's chef and proprietor, David Stein, he came back with such a comprehensive response we've decided to publish it here.

From David Stein:

"The official word, handed down today [March 17] from Edith Murnane, is that Go Fish is retaining our spot at the Navy Yard.  This wasn't a certainty until today.  The plaza upon which we have vended since last October is a BRA property, unlike every other food truck spot in town which are under the direct purview of the City.

We will now be vending ON 1st Ave, directly adjacent to the plaza upon which we have been.  We will retain our Friday, Sat and Sunday lunch presence.  We will not retain the Mondays we picked up in March, we will be on City Hall Plaza Mondays.  I am greatly relieved, it has been our best spot.

I can now continue to explore the idea of a Saturday Brunch cluster, with an expanded monthly Saturday Brunch with live music, arts. etc.  This is by no means a done deal, I'm looking for support by the community for this project.  I got an initial nod from the Friends of the Navy Yard, but put further exploration of the idea on hold when it became unclear whether we would retain the spot at all."
