Halloween Bash set for Halloween Night

Join the Townie Association & Special Townies for the 3rd Annual Halloween Bash at Knights of Columbus on Halloween (Friday, Oct 31)!

On Friday, October 31 the Townie Association Inc. will host the third annual Halloween Bash at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Charlestown (545 Medford Street). Doors will open at 8pm, beware! DJ Smokey Cain will be entertaining the dance floor. During the event, the annual costume contest will take place. Proceeds benefit both the Townie Association Inc. & Special Townies.

Costume Contest categories/prizes are as follows:
$50 for sexiest costume
$50 for scariest costume
$50 for funniest costume
$50 for most original/creative costume
$100 for best group/couple costumes
$100 for best costume

Get ready to trick or treat as there will be a sweet dessert spread. There will also be a few gift baskets and prizes for raffles. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Tables are available for $200. Proceeds benefit two Charlestown organizations: Special Townies and the Townie Association Inc. This event is 21 or older; ID’s will be checked at the door. The Townie Association Inc. is a not-for-profit, grassroots group of young, motivated Townies who are dedicated to reviving, preserving, and promoting Charlestown traditions and culture. Our mission is to increase awareness and community involvement by amplifying the revelry surrounding the Bunker Hill Day Parade. Our sole purpose is to boost neighborhood pride and spirit by revitalizing dormant traditions but also preserving and starting our very own traditions for all Charlestown residents. We strive to engage Charlestown youth by passing down the torch of our traditions and ensuring they participate in every event. Overall, our goal is to unify and beautify Charlestown.

Special Townies is a non-profit organization that works with autistic and special needs youth in the community of Charlestown. The program provides activities throughout the year for special needs children and their families. Special Townies provides youth with special needs and their families with a wide variety of services and supportive programs. Special Townies acts a voice and a safe haven for those with autism and special needs in the community.
