Historic Time Capsule Returns to Boston's State House
Capsule contains items dating back to 1600s.

Officials will return a historic time capsule, which dates back to July 4, 1795, to the Massachusetts State House in Boston on Wednesday morning, MyFoxBoston.com reports.
The capsule was last publicly removed at the end of last year so the Museum of Fine Arts could display its contents through April of 2015. It will now be placed back in its accustomed cornerstone position at the State House.
According to the MFA’s website, the capsule currently contains silver and coppers coins dating from 1652 to 1855, a silver plaque engraved by Paul Revere, a copper medal depicting George Washington, various newspapers, a paper impression of the seal of the Commonwealth, calling cards and a title page from the Massachusetts colony records.

Revere and Samuel Adams oversaw the first cornerstone ceremony.
1,200 Freemasons will reportedly be on hand to to oversee Wednesday’s cornerstone ceremonies on Beacon Hill. MyFoxBoston.com learned that newly minted coins from 2015 will be added into the capsule before its laid to rest again.
