Boston.com says an Illinois-based company, <a href="http://www.hilcomerchantresources.com/" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Hilco Merchant Resources</a>, which specializes in liquidation services, has begun closing sales at all of the Johnnie's Foodmaster markets. There will be discounts of up to 30 percent, and closing sales begin Nov. 2, Boston.com reports. The closure of Johnnie's Foodmaster will leave West Somerville without a supermarket. A petition drive started in Charlestown had demanded Whole Foods send shuttle busses to take residents to other area supermarkets while Johnnie's is closed.
