Judge Denies Request to Delay Dzhokhar Tsarnaev Trial

There has also been a request to move the Boston Marathon bombing suspect's trial out of state.

A federal judge has denied requests by lawyers for Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev to delay the start of his trail and move his trial out of state.

NECN reported that U.S. District Court Judge George O’Toole Jr. issued his denials Wednesday. Tsarnaev’s lawyers had asked for more time to prepare for the trial because of the amount of evidence in the case, and had asked for it to be moved to another district to avoid what they said would be a biased jury, according to Boston.com

The trial of Tsarnaev will begin January 5. He has pleaded not guilty to 30 federal charges connected to the April 2013 explosions at the finish line that killed three and injured more than 260. He faces the death penalty if convicted.
