July Hearing to Focus on Parking, Residential Occupancy of Charlestown Armory
C-Town Ventures is looking to transform the old building into a residential space.
City officials announced this week that they will hold a public hearing on July 1 with C-Town Ventures, LLC regarding the proposed redevelopment of the Charlestown Armory.
Last month, the Boston Redevelopment Authority met with C-Town Ventures to discuss the project, which proposes the creation of 42 housing units along with 78 parking spaces at the building on Bunker Hill Street, which was formerly used as a drilling space by local military companies, as well as a book depository for the Boston Public Library.
The discussion at the July 1 hearing will focus on the legal occupancy of the municipal building and the parking garage, as well as off-street parking and maneuverability, according to this week's announcement.
