Kennedy Center's 50th Anniversary Benefit & BBQ ~ Saturday, June 20th

Help make this significant milestone a significant one! Join us as we celebrate 50 YEARS of service to Charlestown!

This year the John F. Kennedy Family Service Center, a nonprofit organization with the mission to improve the lives of individuals and families in need, is celebrating its 50th Anniversary of providing education, advocacy, and opportunity in Charlestown. To commemorate this important milestone, the Board of Directors are hosting the “Kennedy Center’s 50th Anniversary Benefit and BBQ” on Saturday, June 20, 2015, 7:00 PM at the Bunker Hill Knights of Columbus (545 Medford St. Charlestown).

The event will be an entertaining evening with great BBQ from Red Bones, time to chat with friends and neighbors, dancing, a key note speaker and dynamic auction. We are pleased to welcome Massachusetts Attorney General, Maura Healey as Keynote Speaker, Pulitzer Prize winning Author and Former Boston Globe Reporter, Stephen Kurkjian as Master of Ceremonies, Charlestown’s favorite comedian Tony V. as Auctioneer, and the DJ with a heart of gold, Michael “Smokey” Cain.

All the funds raised by this event will support the Kennedy Center’s ongoing mission of educating young children, supporting seniors’ ability to live independently in the community, and helping neighbors in need. Over the past five decades, the Kennedy Center has consistently and successfully educated and stabilized the lives of thousands of Charlestown residents.
