Continuing what began last year after a long hiatus, the Charlestown Boys & Girls Club Swim Team sent a select group to compete at the Boys & Girls Club National Championship held recently at Carrollwood Village Swim Club in St. Petersburg, Florida. Their impressive performance earned a 2nd Place Overall Finish.

Over a successful three day event from March 30-April 1, the Charlestown Club team joined other Boys & Girls Club swimmers including Blue Hill, Roxbury, South Boston, Billerica, Woburn and Nashua, N.H. forming Team New England. They were also deservedly recognized for their sportsmanship with the Team Spirit Award by event officials. After a full three days of competition, the Charlestown swimmers enjoyed a fun-filled day at Busch Gardens in Tampa.
